Lorraine Centofanti joined Manning Literary Agency in 2019 and worked as an Associate Agent, developing her own list while supporting the agency’s wider client base and submissions process.
Before becoming an agent, Lorraine worked in publishing and literary scouting, where she developed a strong eye for emerging talent and market trends.
Her editorial approach was shaped by a collaborative, author-focused ethos, and she was known for working closely with writers to develop their work from early draft through to submission.
Lorraine was particularly interested in upmarket commercial fiction, contemporary book club fiction, and emotionally driven narratives with strong narrative momentum.
She worked across both new submissions and existing client projects, playing an active role in identifying and developing new voices across the agency, contributing to projects where required.
